Only after the puppies have become nine weeks old they are handed over to their new owners.
During the first weeks our breeders see to it that the puppies get to know already quite a lot of their future life. For example they are introduced to walk on a lead, they travel short distances by car or begin to learn that they have to accept being groomed, even having their teeth brushed.
Neighbouring children, adult dogs or other animals regularly visit the breeders' and help to prepare the puppies for their new home. Very often the puppies are already house-trained by the time they are handed over.
Besides providing thorough socialization our breeders offer their small Eurasier only the very best as far as nutrition and health protection are concerned. The different daily meals contain everything a dog might truly love: porridge with cottage cheese or yogurt and fruit, boiled meet with cereals and vegetables. In between, so that the puppies get to know these they are also fed with dry food or tinned food.
Our breeders have to regularly deworm the puppies as well as to get them vaccinated. When the puppies are about eight weeks old they must be marked with a microchip.
Breeding may take place only if the breeder-to-be lives in a house with garden. The puppies have to be raised within the living area; they must have plenty of space to move about and should have free access to the garden.
The breeder must meet our above-average requirements. Therefore, most of the KZG Eurasier kennels look almost like adventure playgrounds, which makes them also very attractive for kids. One may find wobbly boards, rotating boards, seesaws, suspension bridges, tunnels, slides, swimming pools, sand or different kinds of balls. In order to avoid boredom the breeders change the arrangement every day.
Playfully the puppies train their bodies and balance so that they will be able to lead a self-assured and calm life.
