The Eurasier and his people are at the centre of our efforts.
The Kynologische Zuchtgemeinschaft Eurasier e.V.,
(KZG Eurasier e.V.) was founded by Julius Wipfel, Weinheim, the author of the breed, together with a couple of like-minded people.
The KZG Eurasier views itself as the successor of the first association, the "Cynological Breeders' Association for Wolf-Chow and Polardogs", with which everything started: the crossbreeding of the Wolfspitz with the Chow-Chow in 1960, followed by crossing the Wolf-Chows with the Samoyed in the early seventies.
Since then the KZG has continiously developed further. Today the KZG has about 3800 members and has become the largest Eurasier association worldwide. To breed Eurasier which are healthy and possess the steady temperament, as stipulated by the F.C.I.-Standard No. 291, has always been and still is the KZG Eurasier's main goal.
